My name is Ryan Baylis. I'm the co-founder and CEO at Drift.
Drift sells higher-end air fresheners. We have all clean ingredients delivered in a really unique way. We have a wood air freshener, one called "Stone", we have metal, and we're launching some home products as well. 98% of Drift’s business is subscription, so we are a subscription first business. Recharge is basically our biggest platform. It's probably more important than Shopify and, for us, we needed the best tool out there. Right now, that's Recharge.
We originally built on a different subscription platform that was Shopify-based and we looked at Recharge because it's just really customizable. Whatever your business is, you can design it to be the way that you want it to be. Whether you are just a subscribe and save business or if you're like us and it is a little bit more complicated, you can build it the way that you need to use it. If you're moving between subscription platforms, it was really, really great with Recharge. We had a pretty large subscriber base at the time and it was pretty easy to move over. All the integrations worked right out the gate and anytime we had a hiccup, Recharge was right there to help us and make sure that it was a smooth and easy process.
Anytime we've ever come against a roadblock where we're like "I don't think we can do this"—we always talk to our Recharge people and we find a workaround to make something happen. And that's been a really different thing for us from some of these platforms. Sometimes it's just like, you know, it goes to a dead end but for us we have really great account executives there that really help us make Recharge work the best for Drift. For us, subscriptions are the best loyalty program you could have.
