My name is Danny Taing, I'm the founder and CEO at Bokksu. Our mission at Bokksu is to bridge cultures through authentic Japanese and Asian flavors and tastes and products. And we do this by directly partnering with these centuries-old family snack-maker businesses throughout Japan and then ship that directly to customers in about 100 countries around the world.
Repeat purchases are incredibly important, not only for Bokksu and my business, but for every business out there. It's much more efficient to actually retain those customers and invest into them. And what we find is our subscribers not only are subscribing longer and paying us more money and, you know, like kind of buying products, but they also shop on boutique and shop at market more too.
So LTV extension is right there. But biggest of all though, is our prepaid subscriptions. So that's something that Recharge does pretty well and a lot of other players kind of struggle with sometimes because it's not easy. It's a very difficult feature and for us, over 60 percent of our subscribers are actually on some type of prepaid plan. We've actually been with Shopify and Recharge for over seven years now, Recharge just kept growing along, and now, seven-plus years later, we're still in this happy partnership together.
As time went on, I was like, oh, I need more complicated, I need like a nicer customer portal, I need some type of way to offer gifts or offer this other type of product. Thankfully, Recharge kept releasing these features every year, almost as if they were reading my mind, slash, always asking for their customer feedback and what they can do better, which I really appreciate about Recharge.
And most recently, what I'm super excited about is things like memberships. Things like that keep me engaged and make it easier for us because we don't then need to have so many developers. Recharge is doing all the legwork for us and making sure it's stable and quick.
